5-Site Columbia Academy Sold in Maryland

The team at HINGE Advisors is thrilled to announce the successful sale of 5-site Columbia Academy and its associated real estate in Columbia, Maryland.

The school, a collection of four childcare centers and one elementary/middle school, boasts excellent local brand recognition and beautiful facilities including indoor recreation rooms. It also has an incredibly strong team on staff, a highly sought-after curriculum with a foreign language component, and impressive accreditations.

Sellers Tom and Patti Kincaid met the HINGE team at an outside event many years ago and have become frequent attendees to HINGE-hosted events including our THRIVE Workshop and SHIFT Childcare Leaders Conference. Looking to retire, they immediately knew they wanted HINGE to lead the sale of their schools.

HINGE was thrilled to attract several offers for Columbia Academy by implementing our competitive process, and the sellers ultimately selected a national provider due to their alignment of culture, operations, and competitive pricing. Congratulations to our good friends, The Kincaids, and to the buyer on gaining a fantastic group of schools for their continued growth!

“A 28 year journey has finally come to an end with the help of the HINGE Team. We were finally able to get to the finish line. The company that HINGE found to take over our legacy and help it grow was so much more than we ever imagined but everything we had hoped for in selling. We cannot thank the HINGE team enough for all the training, help and support that helped get us here.”

- Tom Kincaid

This school sale was led by Transaction Leader Alec Ligon who was supported by Transaction Manager Carrie Pergerson, Financial Analyst Rusty Bailey, and Marketing Coordinator Marissa Webster.
